Crazy?...Obsessive?...or just passionate? Being a good pilot (doctor, mechanic, carpenter,...) takes dedication. Being a great pilot (doctor, mechanic, carpenter,...) takes passion. As with anything in life, if you are not passionate about it then it is not "getting all" of you. So when people who are not passionate about something notice someone who is passionate about that 'thing' then the 'passionate' one could be misconstrued as crazy or obsessive.
Adam, I would like to get passionate with the weekly LJ 60 service! Sounds like a good one!

Hey Mike,

Thanks for the input. If you were independently wealthy, would you go anywhere to fly a Beaver? I might, but ... I'd have to sharpen my sales skills on convincing the wife that this was a smart move. And ofcourse, she'd stipulate that there be weekly Lear 60 service "back" to Montreal... which I can't yet afford (see note about Google not buying us yet) and therefore the whole thing is on hold.

Are We Crazy? Not Certain... any crazier than others? I doubt it, there are extremes in any venue.

Are Pilots some of the most obsessive people around? Some sure seem to be... BUT

I have seen car, bike, and boat people who are quite obsessive... the boat folks coil their lines, and have everything just so, and we have all seen bike and car fanatics - clean clean clean...

He MUST be single, and perhaps independently wealthy?

Dropping jumpers is OK for a while but not high on the pay scale... I've done it.
